My videos

Micki's Delirium

I have added a new page to this blog called My videos. I got interested in recording some of my gaming after watching some other ppl’s videos. Since you no longer need a separate account for YouTube (you get a youtube channel with your google account), I decided to try recording and upload some. I plan to link all the videos on my YouTube channel on my new “My videos” page on this blog, so to see the latest videos, you can either follow my YouTube channel, follow me on twitter (new videos will be linked there too), or just check my “My videos page”.

And as a sneak peek, here is my latest, just uploaded today:

Thank you for reading and have a spectacular day.

Clarification

Tactalicious & Craftalicious

I like clumsy headlines. Sure, clickbait maybe or just the weird way my brain works. (If I wanted clickbait I would add a list and a off the wall image – like 10 ways your B sword is sexy and then a image of a half naked barbarian chick holding a longsword…I know, ironic).

I don’t mind tactical feats. The last post was more about the tedious nature of tactical feats when pure DPS always seem to melt stuff away. Now I know tactical feats are a gods end at times when soloing. Because many times I’ll experience something much worse when soloing with pure DPS. Like the other night. My pure bladeforged pally do not have 1 single tactical feat to his name. Not one. First – Pally’s are feat starved. They’re also sorta enhancement point starved. Especially when ‘cleaves’ are now on a enhancement level as an alternative…

Really Enjoying the Increases Made to Named Loot Drops

Erdrique's Blog

Awhile back, with the release of Update 24 Heart of Madness, the loot drops for a number of named items in quests throughout the game were increased.  Well, I can definitely say that I have seen some of this of have enjoyed it :)!!  Not too long I looted a Bloodstone out of the Sands of Menechtarun and this morning while running Tuhnn (Level 15 Bladeforged) through the same area I looted one of these:

It has been quite awhile since I have seen a Ring of Spellstoring but picked one up this morning :).

The Ring of Spellstoring is nearly as rare as Bloodstone, if not more rare.  Also, my travels through the Desert have netted me a number of name drops since that Update.  I can say that I have encountered a number of other named items too that I rarely saw prior to its release.  So…

Still Getting the Hang of This Epic Thing

Erdrique's Blog

Over the past few weeks I have taken a few of my epic level characters into various quests on epic hard as opposed to my typical runs of epic normal.  Wapoyei (Level 23 Cleric/Shiradi Champion), Garrrin (Level 22 Barbarian/Fury of the Wild), and Kolll (Level 22 Ranger/Shiradi Champion) I have started to take into some slightly higher level settings than normal.  These particular characters I feel more comfortable with at attempting these higher difficulties as opposed to some of other characters that are level 20 and higher.  Recently I took Wapoyei through The Lords of Dust and Servants of the Overlord on epic hard, Garrrin through Into the Deep on epic hard, and Kolll through Chamber of Raiyum (Tomb of the Wizard King) and Tharashk Arena (VON 1) on epic hard.

Overall, I have found a number of mixed results.  My cleric, Wapoyei, seems to be the easiest for me…

It’s my party

Micki's Delirium

I was finishing up my CitW runs tonight and a couple of ppl from channel joined me for the first one. These ppl are nice an all outside the raids, but I don’t really like raiding with them… just because of their attitude. They tend to care more about showing off than teaching ppl what to do, and this irritates the hell out of me every time. To the average person they didn’t do anything really to tick me off… but since I’ve seen and heard their attitude before, small things get to me.

This song popped up in my head.

And as a result of looking it up.. it kept spinning in my head for the rest of the night, lol.

Enjoy

It’s hard to like tactical feats

Tactalicious & Craftalicious

I do like them. I like tactics. The idea of using tactical feats to neutralize the threat of champions is a good one. I like it. And there’s something satisfying about tripping a spider or earth elemental and to stun something big and nasty with the edge of the shield.

But lets be honest here; it’s tedious. You’re talking about worrying about a lot more cooldowns, a lot more combinations than swinging a weapon until stuff obliterates. The comparison is pretty stark when I play my pure Bladeforged 2 handed fighting Pally or my 2 Pally 18 Fighter Vanguard fighter. One can actually trip and stun; and hit for upward to 500 or even slightly more on a good day.

The other can’t trip or stun at all but can can multiple critters into puddles with massive damaging hits. Like a smite hitting for more than 2k. Yes – the…

A Light Weekend of Questing, February 20th to 22nd

Erdrique's Blog

This past weekend was relatively light for me.  This was because my daughter was in town for the weekend so instead of slaying the numerous enemies in DDO I had some nice family time .  However, I did get some questing in!!  My questing began with a slayer rung with Rimuldar (Level 23 Wizard/Magister) who I took out into the King’s Forest for the firs time.  I had some taking a caster out there but still need to get a little more used to throwing spells instead of whacking people .  I didn’t get on that afternoon, but I did get back on Friday night with Erdrique (Level 17 Monk).  Erdrique still needed a few level 11 and 12 quests to complete on elite, including the quests in the Deception of Stormreach Chain.  Before I did that though, I headed out into the Sands of Menechtarun where I collected my…

Second chances

Even Now

Photobucket

Poor, lame Dissy. You remember Dissy, right? My totally gimped bard, aka Discordette, aka, “Oh, that’s right, my other Thelanis toon?” Of course you don’t remember her. Until last night, I barely remembered her. She hadn’t completed a quest successfully since June 23, and that was Garrison’s Missing Pack – WAY under her level.

I was going to run Even and maybe Victaurya through Crystal Cove last night, only to sign on and find out it was down. Some of my Monty’s guildies were talking about doing a level 8-ish VoN flagging run. For some reason, my mind skipped right over lvl 9 Acanthia and went straight to lvl 7 Dissy.

“She’s pretty lame, though,” I warned my partymates. “Maybe it would be better if I brought Acanthia. She’s already flagged, but I love those quests and she won’t be a liability.”

No worries, they said, and told me to…

Death Blossom Incarnate: The Grandmaster of Flowers

The Order of Syncletica

Ever since the Menace of the Underdark expansion came out, I have been obsessed in exploring what it meant for the Monk class (what a surprise). With Syncletica doddering at 19, Lynncletica, my Grandmaster of Earth light Monk, has been getting a workout.

MoTU’s Epic Destinies, if you’ve been living under a dungeon lately, are impressive enhancements that allow you to greatly augment your toon’s abilities, especially now that the whole of the Demonweb and Faerun Drow are quite able to kick you in places you didn’t know you had.

Being the “Monk blog,” let’s get into the Epic Destiny called “Grandmaster of Flowers.”

Level 1: Channel Your Inner Dragonball Z Fighter

The coolest part of this destiny for non-Monks is that it seems designed for Monk splashes or characters that could enjoy a bit of Monkliness. If you are a non-Monk, you gain Monk abilities (no…

This week

Micki's Delirium

If you remember my toon Firetha that I transferred to Orien from Cannith… I made a preliminary build plan for her next life. She didn’t have her EDs done, or almost any xp in ED’s at all, I was running her during mine and Osi’s raid night on Saturdays. I managed to cap all her EDs some weeks ago, and now I’m finally starting to prep for TR… by working on getting her 20th raids done. So far she’s done 60 MoDs and 20 FoTs… I’m missing 2 CitW and 4 VoN.. then I can TR.

This week I’ve been mainly running CitW.. or I did a couple of runs on Sunday too, to a total of 6 runs in 3 days. As this raid can be a bit trickier to fill than some of the other raids, I’ve just been doing normal, as I feel comfortable running it really…
