How to flag for Ascension Chamber

Micki's Delirium

I finally finished my flagging videos for Ascension Chamber, which you can check out below.

To flag for this raid:

1. Talk to Sir Rohine Stiedra to start the flagging and to pick up your sigil frame. If you already have one, you can throw this one away if you like. The frames and additional pieces stay through TR.
2. If you don’t already have the sigil pieces to fill your frame, you must run the four quests in the Orchard to gt them. Pick up and run:

Any of the sigil pieces may drop in any of the quests, but some are more likely to drop in a specific quest than others. Read more about this here.

Death by dev

Even Now

One of the best – heck, probably THE best – thing about livestreaming on the official DDOStream channel is the chat, where I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some awesome, amazing, quirky, talented, and zany people.

Having those convos going really adds to my enjoyment of whatever I happen to be running… especially when I’m feeling a bit off (woke up with a crushing migraine, probably why I felt kinda flat last night) and am playing a gimpy toon, like Reera the squishy swashbuckler.

Seki (26) and Reera (25) got through the anniversary event just fine at level 27. We were doing OK at 28 – until we ran into Vargouille, who at least had the decency to be hanging out close enough to the shrine for us to rez ourselves when we died.

Which happened approximately once every 1.4 seconds.

Each.

While taking a moment in soulstone form to…

Getting a New Pet

Erdrique's Blog

I wound up obtaining a new milestone relatively recently which resulted in me getting a new cosmetic pet.  The other day I was taking Erdrique (Level 11 Bard) and Sttollen (Level 12 Rogue) into the Searing Heights to work on that explorer area.  As I made my way through the Sulatar encampment I took out a few fire elementals and then took note that I had obtained the second level of fire elemental expertise in the monster manual.  That particular rank awards you with a new cosmetic pet.

Erdrique picking up a new monster manual deed reward.

The award you get is for blue fire elemental creature companion.  I think this will be the perfect little pet for Cantlin (Level 13 Sorcerer).  Now time to get the next award!!

Thanks for reading everybody and happy hunting!!

LE/EE raids week 18

Micki's Delirium

I posted for reaper 1 skull Legendary Shroud at exactly 9 pm (3 pm EST) last Saturday. The party was slowly filling, but at 10 to 10 we were still missing a hurler and I decided that if we don’t get one by 10 pm, I’m going to switch to Darthwolf and let someone else have the last spot, which was saved for the hurler. 10 o’clock came, and I switched. Things were going somewhat ok, quite laggy but was progressing.. until we again failed to take out a portal keeper and failed the raid. So we retried on LE instead.

Meet the newest Halfling Commando

Confessions of a Geek Mom

Hi folks!!!  Not much going on in the Geek Family right now.  Quests are quests.

But recently, Pink’s little sister gave DDO a try.  She designed a character.  Halfling, of course.  I had her make a fighter since it is the easiest for new players.  She chose a great axe to be like Geoff Hanna.  What is it about Geoff that my daughters like so much????

She ran the tutorial all by herself.  She had me help when she got turned around in the quest and when she needed to climb over for the lever.  Once I got her on track, she waved me off.

She did manage to complete the quest, but has not played since.  I think she mainly wants to dress the character…lol.  She is quite the fashion diva.

I also think that she was looking for Geoff Hanna and his Gamer Girl.  As a…

Another Set of Quest Runs, February 19 to 25

Erdrique's Blog

My questing this week was relatively light once again :(.  This was because of a few work related activities that kept me from logging in on Wednesday and Thursday.  Wednesday night is also my weekly date night with my wife so I don’t log into the game for a typical night run but I usually get a chance to run a slayer prior to dinner.  This week though, an ex-coworker of mine retired and his retirement party was on Wednesday and Thursday I was traveling all day and was just too tired to log in.

But, I did get some questing in during the rest of the week.  On Sunday, I logged on with Kanndar (Level 14 Paladin) and I took him into the Ruins of Threnal.  I was running a little short on time and decided to go ahead and complete the set of quests known as the…

Crunching Down the Numbers of My Monster Manual-Part 7

Erdrique's Blog

So far, I have taken a look at my monster manual statistics for my account as a whole (Part 1 and Part 2), specifically for Erdrique (Part 3 and Part 4), and specifically for Hamllin (Part 5 and Part 6).  Now, I want to take a look at the same trends and analysis for another of my characters, Kolll.  Kolll is a first life Ranger, who primarily focuses on the Arcane Archer enhancement line and is currently working his way through the Shiradi Epic Destiny.

One immediate thing that is clear when looking at the statistics, Kolll doesn’t account for nearly as much as the overall monster kills as Erdrique and Hamllin.  This is primarily simply due to time constraints.  Although I really enjoy playing Kolll, he just doesn’t get the same amount of playing time as Erdrique or Hamllin.  All told…

Nintendo Is Finally Embraces Mobile Gaming

MMORPG Weekly

2016 was the year Nintendo finally started to take mobile gaming seriously. They started the year strong with the launch of Pokemon GO and ended the year with Fire Emblem Heroes, the first mobile installment to the long running franchise. Despite being the first mobile Fire Emblem game, I suspect it will out-earn practically every other game in the genre, which is a testament to the power of the platform more so than Nintendo’s game development prowess. Nintendo has been unusually generous with Fire Emblem Heroes as well. As unlike many hero collectors, Nintendo has made it pretty easy to earn orbs (the game’s premium currency) without spending a dime. MMOs.com wrote a nice Guide on how to get free Orbs in Fire Emblem Heroes for those interested. This is noteworthy because some of the most profitable mobile hero collector games give free to play users very little. Just…

Mini Impressions: February Humble Monthly

Me Vs. Myself and I

8b07875633d9d8a63aa346eedbbca59d28022f0b

These days months just seem to fly by. It feels like New Years was a couple of weeks ago, but here we are coming up on March already. Soon it will be summer and we can all bitch about how damn hot it is. But for now, let’s focus on the newest round of Humble Monthly entries. I did this post last month and figured it’s a good way to keep me trying out newish games and writing about them. This month I don’t have nearly as much to share, but I’ll explain why. Let’s take a look at the list of games included this month:

X-COM 2
Ryse: Son of Rome
ABZU
Steamworld Heist
Okhlos
Project Highrise
Husk

Just like every other month since I started subscribing to the service (since May of last year), there are some titles included that I already own, and some that I’m just…

Release the Kraken upon Ravonson’s Landing!

Dyson's Dodecahedron

Release-The-Kraken

Every month that Patreon funding remains over the $400 mark I sift through my back catalog and bring up a selection of maps that my patrons then vote on as to which will be released under the free commercial-use license. This month the top choice was Ravenson’s Landing.

Ravenson's Landing Ravenson’s Landing

The small community of Ravenson’s Landing lies in a shallow bay by a small river, a useful source of freshwater for traffic near the Hill Islands who wish to remain away from the major ports in that area – pirates, privateers and smugglers for the most part.

The inlet and community is on the edge of a forest and is easily spotted by those searching for it by the silhouette of Ravenson’s Tower which overlooks the few nearby houses.

Slightly to the west of the settlement is Partridge Cave partially hidden in the woods. Partridge Cave is home to the…
