Amidst teaching and graduate classes, I managed to get a few hours of gaming time in these last two weeks. I finally gave in and bought Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and, with the arrival of the beautiful Glacier White PS4 Pro, I now own Destiny 2.

While I’ve only played a few hours of M+R, I was rather surprised by the game. It looks great on the Switch in both docked and handheld–the colors are pleasingly bright, the animations are solid, and the cut scenes are impressive. The time I spent playing M+R really made me think about the Switch’s potential and makes me hopeful that Nintendo will consider more collaborative projects. I want to see that third-party AAA stuff!
