I drew a ridiculous 182 maps in 2019. That’s not quite one map every other day for the whole year. Most of those were for the blog, but also include a number of commissions for Neoclassical Geek Revival, Steve Jackson Games, Inkwell Ideas (I’ll post more about my work with Inkwell Ideas later this week, along with photos of the dice and related goods I was involved in working with them), and of course for the official D&D releases from Wizards of the Coast.
Three of the four D&D 5e hardcovers released this year featured my work – bringing the count up to five hardcovers now, starting with Waterdeep: Dragon Heist in September of 2018.
That said, I totally overextended myself this year. I probably would have been able to keep up with my release rate, but in the autumn we ran into a health crisis with my parents…
