This weekend, hundreds of committed gamers all over the UK will be participating in marathon streaming sessions. This isn’t just being done for fun though: we’re all coming together for the GameBlast20 weekend to raise as much funds and awareness as possible for SpecialEffect.
This amazing charity believes everybody should be able to benefit from the joy of gaming. Their aim is to put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to join in, through technology such as modified hardware and eye-controlled software. By levelling the playing field in this way, they’re bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on confidence and rehabilitation.
In the past we’ve completed extended streaming marathons for the GameBlast event but this year we’re going even bigger: we’ve managed to play video games for at least an hour every day since Sunday…
