VIP and expansions – some thoughts

I went VIP back in 2011 for one main reason – to have access to content. At the time DDO didn’t have expansions, so by going VIP I could play 100% of the content. Being able to open elite was also a very nice perk. In 2012 DDO got it’s first expansion – Menace of the Underdark, and I was a little hesitant to spend a lot of money so I only bought the smallest pack available – Base Edition.

Shadowfell Conspiracy – DDO’s second expansion was released in 2013. For Shadowfell I decided to get the Collector’s Edition, and then a friend of mine bought the Legendary upgrade which came with two codes – one for a large stack of points and the other with the cosmetics and hirelings. She gave me the code for the cosmetics since I wanted the pseudo dragon.
