Boss Rush Banter: Do You Need a Guidebook to Complete a Legend of Zelda Game?

Confession time! I have never finished a single Legend of Zelda game. Most of my friends have finished at least the first Legend of Zelda or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and I used to be too embarrassed to admit it, but I haven’t done finished those. I will say for Ocarina of Time, I went as far as the infamously difficult Water Temple, but that was pretty much it for me. Do I use a guidebook to help me out through Link’s adventures? Most of the time I don’t.
