Nintendo finally came through with a hearty Direct that aired Tuesday, September 13th, 2022. With over thirty new game announcements, ports, and updates, I’m here to survey everyone with their thoughts on this presentation. What did you think of the September Direct?
Regardless of whether you loved or hated it, no one can deny the number of announcements and the incredible variety. The Nintendo Direct opened with a major franchise–Fire Emblem–with Fire Emblem: Engage. Other major first part announcements included Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Wave 2 Expansion Pass, a post-launch Splatfest for Splatoon 3, Mario Strikers: Battle League – Pauline, Diddy Kong free update,Pikmin 4, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, and of course, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
